Massive slabs of limestone lay where they dropped at the base of the twin waterfalls carved by the river. The Lower Falls are bracketed on one side by a cliff face that dominates the rocky terrain. If you look carefully, the entrance of a hidden cave can be glimpsed behind the cascading waters.
